Clay Target Shooting: A Guided Adventure
There’s nothing like the fun and excitement of a day on our clay target shooting range, tucked into a beautiful valley in Basalt, CO! Whether you’re a seasoned marksman or a beginner learning the ropes, this outdoor experience is a great chance to test your skills in several shooting sports games, including Skeet Shooting, Trap Shooting, and more!
Each clay target shooting adventure is a complete experience of two hours that includes guidance from a professional, certified instructor. They pride themselves on safe, effective instruction and are the best people for beginners to learn from.
Reservations can be made for individuals and groups – come by yourself for some practice or bring a party to see who’s the sharpest shooter!
- Includes professional instruction on firearm safety, techniques for accurate shooting, game rules instruction, and practice assistance.
- Experience comes with ear and eye protection.
- Choice of select Beretta and Remington 12- and 20-gauge shotguns – shotguns are available for every skill level or participant size

Skeet Shooting
Your experience starts with a classic clay shooting game. In skeet shooting, you’ll take aim at flying clay targets launched into the air from two fixed “houses” calibrated to send the targets ahead of you in crossing directions. It’s an excellent game to learn the fundamentals of clay shooting and get a feel for your shotgun before moving on to the next game.
Trap Shooting
Things get more complicated – and more fun! – with trap shooting. Instead of two fixed clay target launchers, you’ll fire at clay targets launched from one station. But this time, those targets will fly away from you. This time-honored game is among the most popular in the United States, and it’s the perfect opportunity to show your friends and family just who the “best shot” really is!
5-Stand Shooting
Next, you’ll move on to 5-Stand: a mobile clay target game that’ll be a challenge for newcomers and veteran clay shooters alike. You’ll move between five stations, shooting at five target presentations each, for a total of 25 targets per shooter. The person with the highest score wins!
Sport Shooting
Our clay target shooting adventure also includes Sport Shooting: the closest thing to real field shooting in hunting season! The clays fly at unpredictable angles and speeds, simulating the thrill of taking shots at bolting ducks, pheasants, or other birds. This game is fun for everyone, but it’s especially useful for hunters looking to hone their skills before the season starts.
Private Range Access
The best experiences are ones you can enjoy with friends and family – without having to share space with other parties! Additionally, privacy allows us to provide a higher level of safety for everyone involved.
